High School Application Collection Process

Paragraph.

You will be receiving your high school application sometime in October/November.  It cannot be stressed enough that SFUSD has your correct address.  If your address has changed your parent/guardian must go to the District Office, 555 Franklin, with 2 forms of proof of address to change it.

Dr. Green will go around to each of the 8th grade homerooms and collect your high school application.  Please make sure you fill it out in pen blue/black and print clearly.  If you are applying to Lowell, Lowell must be your first choice on the SFUSD application and you must have the Lowell application filled out.  Incomplete Lowell applications will not be accepted.  If you are planning on applying to School of the Arts Sota, you must go to SOTA directly and hand in the SOTA application.  You also must fill out a SFUSD application.

Dr. Green will initial the application, put the date, and your homeroom on the application.  She will return it back to your homeroom teacher, who will return it to you.  Please keep your copy in a safe place because when you have to register for high school, you will be asked to hand in the application as well as your letter of assignment.

Dr. Green will also keep a copy of the application and hand in the original with a list of students who have handed in their applications.

Your parents/guardians also may go down to 555 Franklin to hand in your application to the district.

If you are planning on attending a private school or are moving out of the district it is strongly recommended that you apply to a SFUSD school just in case your plans change for the following year.
