How to Pay For College

For Financial Aid you need to fill out a form known as the FAFSA. Your financial aid package is determined by your parents'/guardians' income from the previous year so if you are applying to college for 2011 the college will look at 2010's income.

Loans--must be paid back, ex. Perkins
Grants--Government money that does not have to be paid back ie. Pell.
Scholarships--There are many scholarships available of different monetary values for different length of time. Scholarships can be for all 4 years of college or a one time payment.  Scholarships can be from the college, different ethnic/religious groups, sports, corporations, etc. Scholarships do not have to be paid back.
Work Study--As a part of your financial aid package you have a job on the college campus.
